This research aims to describe the profile of environmental groups, participation and factors influencing participation were done in Karang Tengah Imogiri Village. The equal of sample is 50 group members taken by Simple Random Sampling in interview as primary data source. The data collected were analyzed in descriptions using Arithmatic Mean and statistically using Rank Spearman test. The result of research showed environmental groups are groups that do not belong to pure social groups because they are formed by the community based on economic interests and also part of the village owned enterprises but the activities of the groups are part of the social activities. The participation rates of members is included in very low category with score range 1-4. The participation is very low due to the participation of members in composting which is categorized very low. Age, income and coaching showed a positive correlation with members participation in household waste management. In order to increase members participation, the intensity of coaching should be done regularly.
