      Abstract
      Objectives: The research was aimed to examine to what extent the support given by public for the implementation of smoke free regulation. Methods: Questionaire were administered to mother with smoking family member. The research were taken place in three different provinces in Indonesia (n=1846) Results: The respondents were reported for their support to the local governemnt for implementing the smoke free regulation (88,1 %). Public were stated that cigarette advertisement, promotion and sponsorship should be banned (81,7%). Conclusions: Smoke free regulation is significant tool in protecting the community and future generation from the harmful effect of smoking. Cigarette advertisement and promotions should also be banned and stated as part of the regulation.
