      Abstract
      Fuel is one of the most important human needs in daily life. Along with the rapid growth of population and economic growth, energy consumption. Continuous use of fossil fuels will cause unreewable energy scarcity, for alternative energy needs that can be used (renewable) one of which is biomass. Bio-brriquette is one of the biomass used as alternative alternative. Bio-briquette raw materials derived from agricultural waste that is no longer the primary results, one of which is bagasse (bagasse). This study examines the effect of binder pressures on the characteristics of the addition of bagasse briquette. The raw material of bagasse is crushed by using a blender until it reaches a powder that passes the size of mesh 20. Sugarcane powder weighed 3 grams each, then mixed with a binder with a composition of 10%. The powder mixed with adhesive material will be carried out with pressure of 50 kg/cm2, 100 kg/cm2, 150 kg/cm2, then tested by using Thermogravimetry Analysis (TGA) method. In addition, proximate test is also conducted to determine the moisture content, volatile matter content, ash content and fixed carbon content remained. The result of this test will be higher the briquetting pressure will influence the decreasing of moisture content and fixed carbon content and then volatile matter and ash content will be increase. The result of burning test showed that ITVM and BT values decreased and ITFC, PT and burning were increased.
