dc.description.abstract | Background of the study: Survey conducted by (KPAI, 2008) related sexual
problems in adolescents in 33 Provinces in Indonesia found 97% never kissed and
21% had an abortion. Parenting parents helped determine adolescent sexual
attitudes. To prevent those from happening, parenting pattern given to those
teenagers will be observed, one of the patterns is Islamic parenting. Islamic
parenting is parenting by reinforcing values of Islam, Al Qur‟an, and As Sunnah.
Islamic parenting teaches parent to make their children accustom in performing
good deeds and to give them early sex education.
Objective: To identify the correlation between Islamic parenting and sexual
attitude of teenage students of state junior high school in Yogyakarta city.
Methodology: This research is correlational descriptive research with crosssectional
design using spearman statistic test. The sample was 383 people with
cluster sampling. The research was conducted at state junior high school of
Yogyakarta. The data of the research was compiled through questionnaire.
Result: Data was analyzed using Spearman test. The result of the research shows
that, in majority, Islamic parenting is given in a high frequency amounted at
(82,0%) respondents, in average frequency amounted at (18,0%) respondents. The
test result indicates that sexual attitude in positive frequency amounted at
(86,4%) respondents, sexual attitude in neutral frequency amounted at (13,6%)
respondents. From the analysis, the significance value (p) is 0,000 (p<0,05) which
means that there is correlation between Islamic parenting and sexual attitude. | en_US |
