      Abstract
      Japan is a country located in East Asia Region. Japan has a good economy compared to other countries considering the Japanese state involved in the second world war. The second world war made many countries including Japan suffered huge losses. In reaching the economy as it is now, a lot of problems faced by Japan, one of the problems is the Minamata tragedy. Minamata tragedy is one of the problems that appear because of the high level of economy that comes from manufacturing industries that are not balanced with a good ecosystem. From these problems, then resulted in various side effects that make the Japanese Government must intervene directly because the industry in Japan has many bad images both domestically and abroad, especially in East Asia Region. Actions undertaken by the Government of Japan in dealing with these issues are among them establishing cooperation with one of the environmental care movement in Japan. In addition, Japan also began to implement technology that is more environmentally friendly for the industry or commonly called the green industry.
