      Abstract
      There are two main aims of this research. The first aim is to find out the strategies used by the English teachers to teach English vocabulary for hearing-impaired students at SLB N 1 Bantul. The second aim is to find out the implementation of those strategies at SLB N 1 Bantul. To attain the aims of the research, this research used qualitative as the design of the research. The participants of this study were two female English teachers at SLB N 1 Bantul. This research used interview as the instrument. This research revealed that strategies used by the English teachers consisted of nine strategies. Those strategies were using dictionary, games, pictures, matching tasks, body movements, words and sentences completion, crossword puzzles, flashcards, and realia. The two participants used similar teaching activity to implement the strategy such as using the dictionary, games, pictures, matching tasks, and body movement, words and sentences completion is same. Meanwhile, to implement crossword puzzle, flashcards, and realia, both teachers used different activities.
