      Abstract
      Baby weight scale is an instrument to measure baby weight. The present baby weight scale availabe only shows the result of the measurement on LCD. This way, only the user or the nurse who is using it can see the result of the measurement. Parents must wait for the nurse to inform them about the result of the measurement. Therefore, baby weight scale completed with voice output was designed in order for the user and the parents to know the result of the measurement immediately. The scale is also helpful for people with eye vision problem such as blindness. The prototype design used load cell as weight sensor, Mini DFPlayer module and Micro SD Card as voice recording media and ATMega 16 as the controller all the system. The prototype measurement was conducted for 6 times on each weight: 2 kg, 2,7 kg, and 5 kg. The comparing instrument used was calibrated weight so that it could be used as adjustment of scale reference. The test and measurement resulted the same deviation standard value of the three weights which was 0. It meant that the result of the prototype measurement was precised. The voice that came out was also the same as the number shown on LCD. As a whole, the prototype was a success and could be used well.
