      Abstract
      This study aims to determine the students’ sharia financial literacy level in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as well as the influence of literacy on students’ interest to become customers at sharia financial institutions. The object of this research is the students of Strata 1 UMY who take thenon-economic study program. The method used is quantitative method and the data used is primary data using descriptive statistics techniques and multiple linear regression. The independent variables in this study are basic sharia knowledge, sharia savings, sharia investment, sharia insurance, sharia financial institution knowledge, and sharia finance products knowledge. The result of the research shows that the students’ sharia financial literacy level is in the medium category with the percentage of 68.7%. Independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on interest. Partially basic sharia financial knowledge and sharia saving do not have any effect on interest while sharia investment, sharia insurance, sharia financial institution knowledge and sharia finance products knowledge have significant effect.
