      Abstract
      This research entitled Da'wah in Social Media; A Critical Discourse Analysis, aiming to find out the content of the message contained in the Sahabat Taat Whatsapp Group. This research has a background that Islam is the religion of Da’wah to do every muslim in accordance with their respective capabilities. In an era of global information technology and progress as it is now, not just through the pulpit preaching, but through many other media su ch as social media, namely: whatsapp, instagram, facebook, twitter and so on. Social media one of the most widely used today is whatsaap. One of the Group that became the case whatsapp research is a Sahabat Taat Whatsapp Group, the posting charged Islamic propagation by a particular rubric-rubrics in it. This study uses qualitative methods with the critical Discourse analysis techniques model Teun a. Van Dijk. In critical discourse analysis model Teun a. Van Dijk, message or text communication can be seen hidden meanings of a text, both in terms of the structure of the texts (thematic, schematic, semantic, syntactic, rhetorical, and stilistik), social cognition, and in terms of social context. The results showed that the theme of the most Devout Companions whatsapp group is a question of morals, aqeedah and issue followed by the Shari'ah. Thematic aspects of message propagation within the group related topics Sahabat Taat Whatsapp Group light on everyday life, located in the paragraph beginning with the title using sentence that describes the contents of the message. Aspects of schematic, message propagation considered important given precedence and more pressure in the form of suppositions, then proceed with the Hadith or the Qur'an verse expresses a title, and closed with the phrase persuasive or solicitation. Semantic aspects describing emotionally the offender/figures and presented explicitly or open. Syntactic aspects, coherence of messages using a connecting word ' then ' and ' because '. Pronouns are used for authorized in the posting is the pronoun "me", "we", and "yours". Stilistik, style in language used with the word "My brother/sister". Rhetorically, in the form of graphics, and metaphor. Seen from the aspect of social cognition, message propagation within the Sahabat Taat Whatsapp Group representation of Salafi religious pragmatism and values the life of its founder who made Da’wah a part of his life. In the context of the social message of da'wah in the Sahabat Taat Whatsapp Group cannot be released from social structure and knowledge developed in the community over an ongoing discourse of the time, such as: the law gives the Christmas greeting , new year, mother's day, etc.
