      Abstract
      Malioboro is a commercial area in Yogyakarta with various facilities and trade activities, tourism as well as entertainment. In one day the number of tourists in Malioboro more than 4,000 people, which allows most users of internet services. A 14Mbps 3G network and a 100Mbps 4G network for mobile users. This study aims to determine the connectivity of Internet data 3G and 4G networks in Malioboro. The method used in this study using descriptive survey method that describes the events studied without doing follow-up on the measurements made. Researchers use 2 ways namely questionnaire and drive test from provider Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, and 3 (Three) at 2 time of research that is work day and holiday. The analysis shows that the average internet connectivity of 3G and 4G networks in Malioboro meets the needs of voice conversations and voice messaging according to ITU standard, but for high quality video streaming and videophone provider Indosat 4G network on holiday observation, Telkomsel provider of 3G network on observation working days, and XL 3G network providers on the observation of working days have not met the standard throughput value set by ITU. Based on survey results from customer needs of 73.4% of respondents perform activities in the form of chats, where the value of throughput standards for chats according to ITU is> 4 Kbps, then the needs of Internet customers in the region have been met Malioboro.
