      Abstract
      Atraumatic care is used to reduce the stress experience of children and parents related to health services in hospitals, child care, child specialists and other health workers. Whithout atraumatic care, it can lead to stress of children due to hospitalization so that it can cause disruption to child development. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the success of atraumatic care in RS PKU Muhammadiyah in Special Region of Yogyakarta. This type of research is non experimental with quantitative methods and used a descriptive correlational design. The approach used is cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study is 40 respondents by using total sampling technique. This research was conducted in May - July 2017. Data analysis using frequency test, chi-square test and continued with logistic regression test. Room facilities with bad category were 22 respondents (53,7%), Bureaucratic Support with bad category 22 respondents (53,7%), parent’s support with bad categiry 24 respondents (58,5%), work experince of nurses with low category 21 respondents (51.2%), parent’s perceptions with nurses with bad category as many as 25 respondents (61.0%), and the application of atraumatic care with bad category as many as 26 respondents (63.4%). There is a relationship of parent support (p = 0,001), perception of parent with nurse (p = 0,001) with application of atraumatic care. The factors that most influence the success of atraumatic care is the parent's perception of the nurse (OR = 0,045). Parent's perception of the nurse are the most dominant factors affecting the implementation of atraumatic care.
