This research attempt to find out the reason of Nixon’s insecurity during John Lennon intervention in a political rally and also construct the anti war message by John Lennon in confronting the Vietnam War. This is a qualitative research with critical paradigm approach. Technical data analysis used in this research is content analysis, including text, discourse practice and multi-track diplomacy. As the result, in text level, shows that there is anti war messages construction by John Lennon, which are shown in some propaganda songs; Give Peace A Chance, Imagine, John Sinclair. This research also show Nixon’s attempt to counteract Lennon’s intervention
