THE STRUCTURAL FACTORS OF RACIAL ASSAULT ON INTRA AFRICANS MIGRANT WORKERS IN SOUTH AFRICA IN 2015-2017
Abstract
The case of racial assault is quite familiar in South Africa, especially racial assault towards South Africa’s migrants in South Africa, This phenomenon is usually called as xenophobia, which means the local people have too much ethnocentrism. They try to select and protect their nation from foreigner, thus this phenomenon is serious and dangerous because it takes a victim. This thesis has a purpose to describe and analyze the restarting of this case in 2015 until 2017 will be the main discussion in this thesis. Racial assault on migrants is becoming international issues nowadays, the peace and the relation among nation could be broke down because of this issue, and there are many factors that cause this issue, in South Africa the migrants cannot live safely, because threat always come anytime and anyplace. There are no rights of foreigner because this action can be categorized as violation towards rights of people. The data in this thesis will be the responds from many sources such as the United Nation, the South African Government, society of South Africa, Migrants and etc .The writer use qualitative data, so the writer can consider, compare, and identify the sources to analyze the cause of this tragedy. In the beginning South African only have traumatic situation with white skinned people due to apartheid tragedy, but now intra African also become victim because of some factors especially historical, and economical factors.
