      Abstract
      Industry is one of the sectors affecting economic growth rate. With the development of industrial sector, unemployment rate will decrease. But on the other hand, the capacity of energy use will increase as the production process also increases. Dian Swastatika Sentosa Plant 1 Tbk Karawang company is one of the industries engaged in the generation of steam powered electricity. In the continuity of the production process, required a reliable protection system, both the supply of electrical power, backup electrical system in case of interference. Coordination of the OCR (Overcurrent Relay) protection system is required so that when a short circuit occurs, the disturbance does not extend to the system or damage the system equipment, so the production process remains normal. In this study discusses the identification, analysis and evaluation of protection systems in Dian Swastatika Sentosa Plant 1 Tbk Karawang company. This study also uses ETAP 12.6 software as the main simulator. The simulated results before being evaluated indicate when the protection system is simulated in the ETAP software, the system does not meet the specified standard ie the protection system does not work at its nearest disturbance. Therefore, manual calculation is done to get a good evaluation result on the system. After the manual calculation, the simulation results show that the protection system meets the specified protection standard.
