PENGARUH PEMBASAHAN DAN PENGERINGAN TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BEBAS TANAH LEMPUNG EKSPANSIF DENGAN CAMPURAN KAPUR - ABU SEKAM PADI DAN SERAT
Abstract
Stabilization of clay soil using lime-rice husk ash with polypropylene fiber reinforcement is one of the ways to fix the problem of expansive clay soil. However, weather and climate changes provide the soil characteristics influence. Simulation of the influence of weather and climate were employed with the process of wetting and drying in the laboratory to study the behavior of the land already stabilized. In this study used the three best-performing variations for cycle i.e. the OMC, ODM OWM, curing for 7 days. Comparison of lime and rice husk ash used of 1:1 whereas the fiber content used amounted to 0.4%. The results indicate that the greater the number of cycles given strong value, press (qu), modulus of elasticity (E50) and the value of brittleness index (Ib) tends to increase. As for the various of water content that generate strength and good behavior obtained on OWM condition.
