      Abstract
      Sleman is a district in the province of Yogyakarta. The district has a high earthquake risk. Building that have a high risk levels of earthquakes is the buildings of non-engineered or residential buildings built without planning or applicable terms. The study is in the Susukan II village, Margokaton, Seyegan, Sleman. This study aims to determine the level of vulnerability of residential buildings to earthquakes by Rapid Visual Screening method (RVS) based on FEMA P-154 2015. To analyzing the vulnerability of buildings to earthquakes conducted field survey by filling out the form Rapid Visual Screening, the form used is of Moderately High Seimicity type which means the research area has a rather high earthquake spread. The sample of this study are 10 houses. This study, showed that average residential buildings in the Village Susukan II, Margokaton, Seyegan, Sleman has the value of S equal to 0,9 with vulnerability potential equal to 32%, can be interpreted buildings in Susukan II village vulnerable and potentially collapse if a major earthquakes occurs. Factors causing buildings vulnerable to earthquakes is category of earthquakes, deviation factor, and irregularity such us plan irregularity, and vertical irregularity, as well as no reference or code and lack of skilled planning experts in the field of structure.
