      Abstract
The amount of fuel emissions in the form of exhaust gases and particulate burning results in boiler recovery against the air pollution it produces is a serious problem to solve. The purpose of this study is to find out how much exhaust emissions produced by a boiler recovery and engineering use of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) so that exhaust emissions and particulate matter can be reduced. The steps taken in this research is to calculate mathematically the capacity of exhaust gas released by boiler recovery (m3 / hr) and analyze the flue gas data on ESP that does not work in one of the recovery boilers. The results obtained on the calculation of SCA (specific area area) on ESP Recovery Boiler with normal working condition is 19,87 m2 per 1000 m3 / h, whereas if one ESP does not work, its SCA value is 14,9 m2 per 1000 m3 / h. Both under normal conditions and ESP conditions are not working, the SCA values are still within the ESP design range of 11 - 45 m2 per 1000 m3 / h, to produce more than 99% efficiency.
