      Abstract
      Religious conflict between Muslims and Christians is the long-lasting conflict in the religious history. Each Muslims and Christians claim their religion is the only true, as result religion is accused as the source of conflict. The research aims to maintain Hans Kung theory that peace will come only through religious dialog. The attempt should be done through studying the main sources of both religious teaching of Islam and Christianity through dialog which is gained from the Qur’an and Bible. Through descriptive method the problem will be discussed to prove that religious divergence between Islam and Christian is not an obstacle to create good dialog, communication and relation. The result of the research proves that several figures of Indonesian Muslims and Christians have promoted religious dialogue that is based on the motivation that behind the divergences of both religions faith there are lot of verses of religious sources that teach peace and love by as the same being in the world.
