This research was conducted to know the positive and negative impacts received by the people of Bambankerep village as residents living in the area closest to the landfill. The analysis used descriptive quantitative, cost of illness analysis, and replacement cost. The result of this research shows that the existence of Jatibarang landfill gives positive impact for the society in the form of opening of job field for society, reducing unemployment, increasing of society's income, creating new business field, and increasing the development of facilities and infrastructure. The estimated income from waste or used goods and the sale of cattle in the landfill is worth Rp 404.900.000,00 each year. While the negative impacts received by the community with the Jatibarang landfill are the occurrence of air pollution, the smell of garbage, the decrease of cleanliness and beauty in the environment around the landfill, and the noise caused by the mobility of garbage trucks, with estimation cost Rp 37.860.000,00. So that way the positive effect from Jatibarang landfill bigger than its negative effect.
