      Abstract
      The current development in automotive industry shows that there are many racing equipments released by automotive manufactures to maximize the power of a motorcycle. A motorcycle has a ignition system that unctions as a regulator in the process of burning a mix of fuel and air in the cylinder. There are some main ignition components in a motorcycle such as Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI), ignition coil, and spark plug. A reparation on the ignition system can improve the engine’s performance and the motorcycle’s fuel consumption. A test was carried out bby using a gasoline motorcycle 4 stroke 125cc by using standard coil, 2 racing CDIs (CDI racing Rextor and CDI racing BRT I-MAX), NGK G-Power spark plug, and gasoline. The test conducted covered the testing if ignition coil spark, torque engine performance and power, and gasoline consumption. The research result reveals that the best igniton coil spark is found in the CDI REXTOR that produces blue fire spark with the temperature around 7500K until 12000K. The result of torque engine performance and power test shows that CDI Premium standard produces torque with the highest power. It is because the ignition timing in CDI Standard is several degrees lower than CDI racing. The power produced by CDI Standard is 15,7 Hp on the speed of 10684 rpm, and the torque produced by CDI Standard is 11,42 N.m on the speed of 8784 rpm. The result of the lowest fuel concumption test is found in the CDI standard with the consumption rate of 25,88 km/l. This is because the best ignition is found in CDI Standard.
