      Abstract
      Red chilli is a potential horticultural commodity to be developed and has high economic value. The research aimed to analyze the cost, income, profit and feasibility of red chili farming with monoculture system in Erupsi Merapi area, Cangkringan Sub District, Sleman Regency Yogyakarta. Determination of sample respondents using simple random sampling method and the number of samples obtained 80 farmers red chili with monoculture system. Data were obtained by interview using questionnaire. The results showed the average cost of red chili farmers with monoculture system per 1000 m2 is Rp. 2.666.774, with an income is Rp. 13.406.144 and profit is Rp. 12.232.822. The feasibility of red chili farming with monoculture system in Merapi eruption area are seen from R/C factor, land productivity, labor productivity and capital productivity which are feasible to be cultivated and developed. The value of R/C, land productivity, labor productivity and capital productivity are 5,59, 12.233 Rp/m2, 620.303 Rp/HKO and 8,22%, respectively.
