      Abstract
      The competition of 4-stroke motorcycle products is now very competitive, both in terms of body shape, appearance to the level of technology use. One of the most important components of a machine's performance is lubricating oil or oil. Enterprises in improving the sense of comfort, security, and friendly to the environment one of them is by improving the quality of the lubrication system. The quality of a good lubrication system can make the engine more durable and engine performance better. therefore in this research add additional device that is oil cooler. This type of research uses experimental method, namely by pairing external oil cooler on a motorcycle Megapro 160 cc. Tests conducted are testing temperature oil installed at several points, fuel consumption, and dynotest testing to determine the effect of adding oil cooler to the performance of motorcycle engine Megapro 160 cc and then the results obtained are analyzed. The results obtained from this study after adding oil cooler that there is a decrease in oil temperature of 1.12 ° C. With the decrease in oil temperature is resulted in increased performance of motorcycles Honda Megapro 160 cc of torque of 12.86 N.m and power of 13.4 HP at 7666 rpm rotation. On dynotest testing there is an increase in power and torque. While the fuel consumption more efficient by using oil cooler and obtained a comparison of 2.34%.
