lubricant is a lubricant having a mixture of additives which serves to improve the
properties of the lubricant.
This research uses methods of measuring viscosity, thermal conductivity,
torque, power, and fuel consumption by using minerals lubricant MPX 2 SAE 10W-
30, semi-synthetic type Shell ADVANCE SAE 10W-30, and type synthetic
Pertamina Enduro Matic SAE 10W-30. The fuel pertalite used with 90 number
octane with a distance of 4 km at a speed of 35-40 km / hour.
Viskositas MPX 2 at low temperatures has the highest level compared to
Shell ADVANCE is more stable. Pertamina lubricants Enduro Matic is a lubricant
that has the best thermal conductivity that is able to balance better. Maximum torque
of MPX 2 lubricant is 23,68 N.m, Shell ADVANCE lubricant is 16,35 N.m and
Pertamina Enduro Matic lubricant is 17,80 N.m. Maximum power MPX 2 of 8.7
HP, Shell ADVANCE lubricant of 8 HP and Pertamina Enduro Matic lubricant of
8.1 HP. MPX 2 fuel consumption is 41.76 km / liter with a lubricating temperature
of 71.96 ° C, Shell ADVANCE lubricant 45.05 km / liter with a lubricant
temperature of 73.88 ° C and Pertamina Enduro Matic lubricant as far as 52.23 km
/ liter with a temperature of 71.32 ° C. It can be concluded from the data obtained
that each lubricant has viscosity, thermal conductivity, engine performance, fuel
consumption and different temperatures. The results of this study can be used as a
guide to motorcycles and can be developed in further research.
