Background: Each individual has a limited availability of information processing systems. Disproportionate anxiety by time, place and situation will cause harm to the individual who experienced it including in understanding the information especially on Blue Control’s innovation strategy which has role in giving counseling about Family Planning to Fertile Age Couple in Madiun District. The Blue Control’s innovation strategy was created by the Family Planning & Family Planning Service, Women's Empowerment & Child Protection of Madiun District in the supervision of internal performance and knowing the ablity to understand information on Fertile Age Couple about Family Planning program. Objective: To know the relationship between anxiety level and understanding score on Family Planning to Fertile Age Couple on Blue Control’s innovation strategy in Madiun District. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 297 samples that have been targeted for counseling about Family Planning on the Blue Control’s innovation strategy in 15 sub-districts in Madiun District. Anxiety was monitored by using TMAS questionnaire, whereas to determine the comprehension score using predetermined questionnaire from the institution in accordance with the material of counseling. Data analysis was done by spearman correlation test. Results: Spearman correlation test between the anxiety level with the comprehension score resulted a significance value of p=0.047 and the correlation coefficient of r=0.116. In addition, the correlation test between anxiety level with education level and type of contraceptive method resulted significance value of each p=0,027 and p=0,003. Conclusions: There was an association between anxiety level with an comprehension score about Family Planning at Fertile Age Couple in Blue Control's innovation strategy in Madiun District that was statistically significant (p <0.05).
