Diabetes Mellitus (DM), especially type 2 diabetes is one of the degenerative diseases that increase in number from year to year in Indonesia. Type 2 DM can be controlled through four pillars of DM management. Controlled DM is indicated by normal blood sugar levels because blood sugar levels are indicators in the diagnosis of DM. The general purpose of this research is to know the correlation level of knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus with Fasting Blood Sugar Control in patients with type 2 diabetes in the reagional of Clinic Caile, Ujung Bulu Sub-district, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. This research is a type of Observational Analytical research with Cross Sectional approach. The sample was performed with purposive sampling technique of 81 people. Spearman statistical test results show that there is no correlation between DM Knowledge Levels with Fasting Blood Sugar Control in patients with type 2 DM in Caile Puskesmas Area, Kec. Ujung Bulu Kab. Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. This correlation is indicated by the value of p = 0.219 (p> 0.05). Recommendation for health services is the need of other research related to things that influence attitude and behavior of patient Type 2 DM in that region, one of them is related to customs, family support and socioeconomic status of patient, so that health worker able to do holistic treatment And better able to understand the cause of high blood sugar control in his patients
