      Abstract
Cable is an important element in conducting electrical current. In building electrical installations, cables play a very important role. This is because in the selection of cables should not be done. In addition, the safeguard also plays an important role because the safeguard is an electrical equipment used to protect the user's electrical installation and electrical installation components from damage or danger caused by interference such as overload current or short circuit current. This study aims to know the accurate data about the conductor (cable) and circuit breaker (safety) to be precise and in accordance with the needs of building admissions Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the standards that have been determined. From the calculation, cable used is NYY 4x6 mm2 with KHA 43 A, NYY 4x10 mm2 with KHA 60 A, NYY 2x6 mm2 with KHA 43 A and NYY 4x50 mm2 with KHA 174 A based on PUIL 2000. Drop voltage got result of 0 , 02-0.76%, so it is safe according to PUIL 2000 and SPLN 1978 standards for no more than 5%. MCCB and breaking capacity value according to the standard ie 20 A and 40 A.
