      Abstract
Durability of sil-cement mixture is one of the stabilization method which is interesting to be studied. This research use siltstone soil samples, which this type of soil has a load-bearing capacity characteristic that decreases when subjected to wetting-drying cycle. This condition is closely related to the durability of the soil, if it has low durability then its support capacity will be low as well. The concern of the research is to study the effect of cement stabilization on the durability of the specimens, undergoing a wetting-drying cycle, and also on the specific gravity values, Atterberg limit and grain-size distribution. Durability test using slake surability method based on ASTM D 4644. The samples were made at first without using cement, by applying compaction, based on optimum moisture content (OMC) and maximum dry density (MDD) on soil compaction test. The results of this study show that: OMC obtained 25% and MDD of 14.8 kN /m3; the value of specific gravity is increased from 2,58 to 2,73 due to the addition of cement; the value at the Atterberg limit changes, where the liquid limit value (LL) decreases from 37,5% to 34,00%, the plastic limit (PL) increases from 21,99% to 33,44%, the shrinkage limit (SL) increases from 17,05% to 31,43% and the plasticity index (PI) decreases from 15,51% to 0,56%; the grain size of the soil has increased due to the addition of cement; soil resistance increased due to the addition of cement from low durability classification to medium and high durability classification.
