This paper attempts to analyze the role of regency in East Java in contributing Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of East Java. The result of this study indicates that the position of East Java in supporting national development of potential region and main sector in East Java are trading; hotels and restaurant; and manufacturing industry. This study also conclude that the regency which very influential to contribution PDRB in East Java are Malang, Jember, Banyuwangi, Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, Tuban, Gresik, and Surabaya.
