      Abstract
      The research aims to know the response of organic rice farmers, and the factors that influence the response of organic farmers to the Plant Growth Promoting Rizhobaterium (PGPR) program in Gapoktan “Mitra Usaha Tani” in the development of organic rice cultivation at Pandak subdistrict Bantul regency by using purposive sampling. The data was collected by using sensus which involved all of the farmers of organic rice with 33 people who are inconsolidated in Gapoktan “Mitra Usaha Tani”. Primary data were collected through direct interview by using questionnaire. This research is using descriptive data analysis and rank spearman. Factors that influence the response of organic rice farmers to the PGPR program in Gapoktan “Mitra Usaha Tani” is the variable of the position of the farmer, activeness of the farmer, land area, and cosmopolitan. The response of organic rice farmers to PGPR in Gapoktan in the development of organic rice cultivation is good with a score of 66,85. The knowledge variable shows a score of 56,50, the affective attitude variable shows a score of 66,70, and the participation variable shows a score of 82,75 which is all in the good category. Knowledge indicators are correlated with affective attitude indicators produce strong correlations. Affective attitude indicators are correlated participation indicators produce strong correlations. And participation indicators are correlated with knowledge indicators produce very strong correlations.
