      Abstract
      Science and technology on automotive are grow up so fast on this decade. One of them is to develop and make the ignition system perfect. The component that has an important role is the spark plug. Some testing is done to find out the charcteristic of sparks, and to find out about effect of using 5 spark plug variation, sparkling electrode estramgement, comparison of fuel usage, and to discover which one the correct spark plug for Honda Beat PGM-FI. This research is used Honda Beat PGM-FI because this motorcycle is the one of popular motocycle in Indonesia. This research also is to answer which one correct from NGK G-Power spark plug’s for this motocycle. The tools and the materials in this reasearch are; Honda Beat PGM-FI, NGK G-Power Spark Plug, pertalite, dynamometer, PC computer, Feeler Gauge, measuring cup, spark plug tester, tachometer, stopwatch, and Casio exilim camera. The calibration start from checking the sparks, engine performance, and the last one is fuel consumption. All of the torque and power testing showed that all of them have the same engine rotation to generate maximum torque and maximum power. After the engine rotatiom needed is beyond the limit, it can be conclude that the torque and power will be decrease. It happened because of inaccurate combustion time and valve overlape.
