      Abstract
      This study aims to explain about the Foreign policy of India Modi is a leader who is very sensitive to the environment so it is not surprising if the attitude of modi in the international environment is very aggressive. Evidenced by the intensity of diplo in the era of modi leadership with the countries in the willayah ASEAN Modi wants to target Asean as a key pillar of the East Act policy launched in the era of leadership. India is a polycentric country, and India has a strong geopolitical interest. There are several questions why India chooses ASEAN while there are many other countries including nations that will benefit India as well as Europe or Latin America. India has capabilities that allow other countries to cooperate with India - strong military and defense force capabilities and in the field of India's economy continues to increase, so that other regions including ASEAN want to work with India. but in this paper will be more emphasized on the question of why India aggressively continue to cooperate with ASEAN
