In this research, The author discusses and explains about The Effectiveness of Cooperation in the Management of the Malacca Straits Through the Regime of Tripartite Technical Expert Group. TTEG is an intergovernmental organization established by Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in 1977. The findings of this research have shown that the Malacca Strait with the structure of a complex of interests has made cooperation among coastal States factors and user countries. This partnership over time increasingly progressive and constructive. The TTEG cooperation in management the malacca strait is already coordinated and increasingly collaborative. The Littoral States have already demonstrated their desire to cooperate evidenced by his agreement to obey in the Joint Statement which was the basis of the formation of the TTEG which aims to protect the safety of sailing ships, facilitating through the Malacca Strait and protecting the marine environment from pollution. In addition the third coastal States also formed Cooperative Mechanism an agency that brings the cooperation framework consisting of several programs. The study results also show that cooperation with the TTEG Users State has experienced an increase from time to time. Although only as a dialogue partner, not a full member of the TTEG like Japan, Australia, China, Germany and also some NGOS such as the IMO already showed a very cooperative attitude in cooperating with the TTEG
