UPAYA UNI EROPA MENDORONG DEMOKRATISASI DAN PASAR BEBAS DI UKRAINA TAHUN 2014-2015
Abstract
The European Union is an international organization that oversees countries in the European continent that have become members of the European Union. The European Union has aspirations to expand its territory, using the second pillar, the Common Foreign and Security Policy dimension. One of the countries on the periphery of the European Union was Ukraine, the European Union and Ukraine to establish contractual relations in 1994 by signing the EU-Ukraine Partnership and Cooporation Agreement (PCA) which came into force in 1998. In this study will discuss EU efforts push for democratization and free market in Ukraine in 2014-2015. This study uses a qualitative method that will explain how the European Union's efforts to encourage democratization and free markets in Ukraine, with methods of data collection sourced from books, journals, articles, print media and electronic media websites. The International Organization Theory and Foreign Policy Theory is used by the author to answer the research in this paper, the European Union's efforts to promote democratization and the free market in Ukraine through the policy of ENP (European Neighborhood Policy). In the promotion of democracy, the bottom-up and top-down methods resulted in the adoption of various laws from the European Union in Ukraine and in the case of Free Market Promotion, namely in removing customs fees to reduce trade barriers using grants and loan funds
