      Abstract
Tourism has indeed become an important sector that can provide a positive contribution to the national economy. It is applicable for Indonesia which continuously struggles to develop the tourism sector through various strategies and policies. One of which is through the function of the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia which is distributed in various countries. One of the embassies is Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Thailand. In this study the author will further analyze the efforts of KBRI Bangkok in increasing the number of tourists from Thailand to Indonesia. In this study, the author also uses several approaches. Some of them are the concept of tourism development and diplomacy theory. While the methodology used is descriptive qualitative with secondary data collection. From the discussion it is known that the Indonesia Embassy in Bangkok in increasing the number of tourists from Thailand to Indonesia is realized through the implementation of soft diplomacy with several Thailand tourism stakeholders within the scope of Government to Government and Government to Business. Then the next effort will be done by building cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand in creating the concept of modern tourism, and through the cooperation between private and private and government to government. The overview of the efforts of KBRI will be described in depth in the study.
