This research has purpose to analize what are basic sector that to be excellent can be extend to increase economic growth in Bantul Regency. This research use the secondary data in early period 5 years from 2012-2016 were obtained from Central Statistical Agency of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province and Bantul Regency. The analysis tool in this research is Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share, and Klassen Typologi. Based on Location Quotient analysis result, Bantul Regency has 7 basic sectors are Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing, Electricity and Gas, Construction, large and retail trade, car anad motorcycle repairs and Accomodation and Food Service Activities. Based on result of Shift Share, total revenue of Dij which sector that contribute the greatest value to increase in regional economic was Information and communication. And the last, based on result of Klassen Typology, Bantul Regency has included in the category of disadvantaged regency in the process developed.
