dc.descriptionThis paper aims to analyze the reasons underlying Indonesia's foreign policy related Indonesia's effort to take over Flight Information Region from Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore in 2015. The Airspace above Riau Islands and Natuna have been under control by Singapore since 1946. Indonesia has conducted several diplomacies to take control of FIR. Unfortunately, the efforts have not produced maximum results. This situation causes domestic public to worry because it is weakens the defense and security aspects of the country. In addition, the unclear details of the Route Air Navigation Charges which accumulated by Singapore in A sector became part of the attention of some Indonesians. Indonesian's elites have been prompting for concrete steps by government to overcome thus circumstances. Indonesia's efforts are strengthened by the national law through Law Number 1 of 2009 and state's realization towards agreements on Chicago Convention of 1944.en_US
