      Abstract
Background: Bones are able to do self-healing to repair damaged structures with bone remodeling. Bone tissue engineering has 3 factors: cell, scaffold and signal. Platelet rich plasma and platelet rich fibrin is a material that can be used as a scaffold itself because of the content of fibrin matrix. The scaffold should have properties such as: 1) having porous structure, 2) bio degradability and controlled bio absorbability, 3) 3D structure, 4) Acceptability and Predictability. Scaffolding has characteristics that one of them is swelling. The swelling profile can show the biocompatibility of the scaffold shown by the absorption of the solvent and liquid medium within the medium. In addition, swelling profiles affect the mechanical properties of the scaffold. Research Objective: To know the different swelling profiles between scaffolds that were incorporated with rich plasma platelets and scaffolds incorporated with rich fibrin platelets. Research method: This laboratory clinical research with pre test post test design. The subject of this research is scaffold coralulit Ca CO3 there are 9 pieces divided into 3 groups namely; a group of scaffolds that were incorporated with PRP, a scaffolding group incorporated with PRF and a group of control scaffolds. The subjects of the study were immersed in PBS in the incubation at 37 0C for 24 hours. Measurements of the swelling profile were done at the 30th minute, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th and 24th hour periods. Then we measured the gel fraction value by drying the soaked scaffold in an incubator with a temperature of 50 0C for 96 hours. Research Result: The data obtained then tested statistic. Normal statistical test with normality test, if all data is normally distributed then proceed with One Way Anova test, if significance value <0,05 indicates existing value with Post Hoc test with Tukey. The result of statistical test showed significant difference with significance value <0,05 between group of PRP incorporation scaffold, group of PRF incorporation scaffold and control group. Conclusion: there is a number of profile swellings between scaffolds incorporated with PRP and scaffolds incorporated with PRF.
