      Abstract
Nano fiber membrane was which can be applied as a wound dressing developed to know the morphological characteristics and tensile properties of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) Gohsenol with the addition of Curcuma Mangga Val (CMV). Nano fibers are fabricated using such polymers because they have anti-bacterial, biodegradable, biocompatible, and non-toxic properties. First step is to dissolve 10% of PVA into the aquades (w / w), then solution is mixed with various concentrations of CMV (0, 2, 5, 10, and 15% w / w). The solution measured the conductivity and viscosity value, to know the parameters solution. PVA / CMV solutions with various concentrations are fabricated using the electrospinning method. The parameters used were spinnerate diameter 0.6; tip distance to collector (TCD) = 10 cm; voltage = 23 kV Scanning electron microscope SEM image shows there is a reduction of diameter of nanofiber, directly porpotional with addition of CMV extract. Diameter average of PVA nanofiber based on the variation of CMV concentrations is 0%; (± 446nm), 2%; (± 376nm), 5%; (± 294nm), 10%; (± 267nm), and 15%; (± 228nm). Solution viscocity shows between (39.39-22.40 N / mss) is inversely proportional with addition of CMV concentration. Based on that data viscosity value falls, but the solution can still be well fabricated, because conductivity value rises between (2.01 - 2.80 mS / cm). Result of membrane tensile test shows between (5.10-10.46 Mpa), elasticity modulus value between (2.92 - 24.66 MPa) and elongation value between (176.21-46.45%). From the tensile test results, membrane nano fiber PVA / CMV have potential to be a wound dressing, based on standard medical material with tensile strength value between (1-24 MPa) and elongation value between (17 - 207%).
