      Abstract
      Hypertension is a systolic pressure of ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia obtained by measurement in the population aged ≥ 18 years reached 26.5%. Students are included in the late teens and young adults with the age range of 17-40 years. Students have a risk of hypertension that is affected by an unhealthy lifestyle. Unhealthy lifestyle of students are stress, smoking, alcohol consumption, caffeine, excess salt, lifestyle (lack of movement) and obesity. This study aims to determine the percentage of hypertension risk factors that can be changed in the students of the Faculty of Language Education University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.This research uses quantitative descriptive method with cross-sectional research design. Respondents in this study amounted to 83 students determined by accidental sampling technique. Instruments in this study using questionnaires with data analysis using frequency distribution.The results of this study showed that students at risk based on sub obesity (13.3%), smoking (8.4%), alcohol consumption (0%), stress (77.1%), coffee consumption (19, 3%), high salt food consumption (74.7%), sports habit (80.7%).The percentage of hypertension risk factors that can be changed in the students of Faculty of Education of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta based on obesites sub variable, smoking behavior, alcohol consumption, coffee consumption, majority of respondents are categorized not risk, while in stress sub variable, high salt food consumption, the majority of respondents are categorized as risk.
