      Abstract
      Introduction: Surgery was a treatment action using invasived techniques by opened or displayed the body parts to be operated on. Surgical data in the world in 2012 alone reached a number of 312.9 million or has increased 33.6% for 8 years since 2004. From the National Tabulation data of the Indonesia Health Ministry, surgery ranked 11 of 50 patterns of disease handled in Indonesia 2012. One of the effects of surgery was fluid and electrolyte imbalanced. This study was conducted with the aim to determine the fluid status in patients post-operative at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital Methods : This study used descriptive analytic with survey design and cross-sectional approach, the sample size used in this study was 44 postoperative patients. Data collection used interview and observation method. Data analysis used univariate method to calculate frequency distribution of predefined variable. Result :. The majority of fluid resusitation on respondents were enough with a percentage of 31 people (70,5%). The majority of fluid balance on respondents in this study were less with percentage of 29 people (65,9%). Conclusion: The majority of fluid requirement in postoperative respondents were adequate but the fluid balance were less.
