      Abstract
      Dental caries is a disease that caused by demineralization in hard tissue like enamel, dentin, and cementum which is the main problems among the children’s oral health. Prevalence of dental and oral disease in Indonesia reached 72%. Half of 75 million children under five years old have experienced of tooth cavity and this number increased year by years. The aim of the research was to determine the correlation between the parent’s level of education and knowledge about dental and oral health with dental caries index (ICDAS) of 4 to 6 years old children at TK ABA Godegan Tamantirto. This research was observational analytical study with cross-sectional design. The status of parents’s last education taken from parents’s identity form, and knowledge level about dental and oral health taken from questionnaire. Caries examination was performed in children aged 4-6 years old as subjects (n= 47). Data were analyzed by Correlations Pearson test. The result were p-value of correlation between ICDAS and knowledge was 0,848, ICDAS and education was 0,804 and knowledge and education was 0,661 (p>0,005). It showed that there was no significant correlation between caries index ICDAS with the parent’s level of knowledge and education.
