      Abstract
      Dental caries is a pathological disease in oral cavity which caused by multifactorial. An oral and dental disease which mostly suffered by Indonesian especially in early childhood is dental caries. Children need parents role in keeping their oral and dental health. Socioeconomic status could affect oral and dental health. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between parents socioeconomic status and caries index in children aged 4-6 years old. This study was observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The location was took place at TK ABA Godegan Tamantirto. Subjects of this study were taken by total sampling with considerations of inclusion and exclusion criterias (n= 48). Parents socioeconomic status were taken from parents’ identity form. Parents socioeconomic status were measured by monthly parents income, monthly parents expenditure, and family member. Caries examination was performed on children aged 4-6 old as subjects with ICDAS index. The data was analysed by Spearman correlation test. The result showed that there was no significant correlation (p > 0.05) between parents socioeconomic status and caries index in children aged 4-6 years old.
