      Abstract
      Background: Child injuries can happen in anywhere, one of them was happened in school environment. Teachers as fully responsible parties in school are expected to have a good knowledge of first aid and the use of a first aid kit in handling injury in students in elementary schools to prevent injury getting worse. Objective: To know the teacher's knowledge level of first aid and the use of first aid kit in the handling of the students in primary school. Research Method: This research design is quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this research is 69 teachers at SDIT Luqman Al Hakim taken by using total sampling technique. The knowledge level is measured using a first aid knowledge questionnaire and the use of a first aid kit in the form of multiple choice. Results: The results showed that most of the respondents were women (62.3%), aged 21-40 years (76.8%), education background S1 (97.1%) and the majority did not have experience dealing with injuries (66 , 7%). The most common type of injuries in school are scratched wounds (40.5%). The result of respondent knowledge about first aid is 58 respondents have good knowledge (84,1%), 9 respondents have moderate knowledge (13%), and 2 respondents have less knowledge (2,9%). The respondent's knowledge about the use of first aid kit is 24 respondents have good knowledge level (34,8%), 23 respondent have enough knowledge level (33,3%), and 22 respondents have less knowledge (31,9%) . Conclusions: The teacher's knowledge level of first aid and the use of first aid kits in the handling of injuries to students in elementary schools are in good category. .
