      Abstract
      Background:The surgical services field is a part that often causes unexpected events, both medical injuries and complications due to surgery. An estimated 234 million surgical procedures are carried out within a year so that surgical actions that focus on patient safety become a global health substance that must be considered. This aims to reduce the rate of morbidity and mortality caused by surgical measures that are not based on patient safety. The purpose of this study was to have perception of video in implementation of Surgical Safety Checklist. Subject and Method: The subject of this study was a safe surgery checklist user in the surgery room consists of an anesthetist doctor, surgeon doctor, anesthetist nurse and surgical nurse. The tool used was a video made previously by researchers in the surgery theater. Research methods with qualitative action methods and depth interviews Result: From the 4 subjects conducted by the depth interview that representing the population, it was found that Surgical Safety Checklist had a component of Sign in, Time Out, and Sign Out, each of which was carried out by the implementer according to his role. SSC is a checklist of patient and operating team safety. SSC is not just a routine. SSC can minimize mortality and postoperative complications. An interesting and informative video facilitates understanding and reminders of SSC implementers. Video can also be a training medium for teams that will enter the operating room and carry out operations. Videos are useful in increasing understanding and reminders of SSC implementers Conclusion: Surgical Safety Checklist is more understandable and understandable through video media and its purpose is to remind the implementer of the Surgical Safety Checklist.
