      Abstract
      Background: The concept of patient safety must be able to carried out of a comprehensive and integrated to decreace the amount medical errors, andverse event, near misses, and also death in patients. The purpose of this research is to find and to expore culture patient safety at pku muhammadiyah bantul hospital. Methods: the basis of this research is a descriptive quantitative and being analysis with the approach of cross sectional and made to describe from questionnare the culture of patient safety as seen from the 10 patient safety culture according to the variables MAPSaF (Manchester Patient Safety Framework. The sample retrieval techniques of the study is by Convenience Sample. The object of the research was 67 nurses on wards at PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul hospital. The results and discussion: . The cross sectional study was conduct and collected through Questioner using MAPSaF (Manchester Patient Safety Framework ) that consist of 10 elements of question & 24 aspects towards 67 nurses of PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital. There were 5 maturity levels that can describe patient safety culture, such as Pathologic, Reactive, Calculative, Proactive & Generative. For the result of the study, there were all questions are in proactive level Conclusion: overall results of research using questionnaires 10 dimensions of MAPSaF dominant shows of 70% were at level of proactive at PKU Muhammadiyah BANTUL hospital has been comprehensive in nature against a culture of patient safety and has been implementing them in accordance with evidence-based.
