POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KELUARGA TKW DAN DAMPAKNYA BAGI PERKEMBANGAN SOSIAL ANAK DI DESA SELOPAMIORO IMOGIRI BANTUL
Abstract
This study aims to 1) find out the patterns of parenting style in children religious education among the TKW family in Selopamior, Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta, 2) to find out the impact of the parenting styles on the social development of the children among TKW families in Selopamioro, Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta.
This study employs qualitative approach and was carried out in Selopamioro Village, Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that 1) the parental styles applied in the family of TKW in Selopamioro Village including permissive, democratic, and authoritarian parenting style. Furthermore, this study also reveals that the parents do not teach their children tahsin nor tajwid in reciting the Qur'an, 2) the absence of mothers who become migrant workers have several impacts on children’s social development including the tendencies of being quiet person, selfish, aggressive, and even low learning motivation. However, some children do not experience the impact of the absence of mother due to their fathers’ ability to replace the position of the absent mothers at home in taking care of the children.
