ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TINGKAT PARTISIPASI ANGKATAN KERJA DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2010-2015
Abstract
Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) is an interesting phenomenon to be studied. Based on the Indonesian Statistics Agency's report on the average labor force participation rate per province from 2010-2015 reached 67%, this means the more high LFPR shows the high supply of labor available to produce goods and services. In this study, the authors used several variables such as Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP), minimum wage, human development index, and school participation rate of each province in Indonesia to see the effect on labor force participation rate. The data used in this study covers 33 provinces in Indonesia from 2010-2015. Panel data of random effect model is selected as an analysis tool. RGDP, minimum wage, human development index, and school enrollment rate in each province in Indonesia together affect the labor force participation rate. As the findings show, the RGDP variable has a positive effect on labor force participation rate, while minimum wage, human development index, and school participation rate in every province in Indonesia have negative effect.
