      Abstract
Ballasted track is a technology that commonly used in Indonesia, due to the practical in build and maintanance. But in fact, the application of this technology causes much ballast degradation and influence into the rail track geometric changes. The rail track stabilization using bitumen and scrap tire recomended to make a solution to fix many problem of the ballasted track. In this research, scrap tire and bitumen used as much as 10% and 2% of total weight respectively. The spesimen then be made for four samples with different mixes to know the value of some parameters such as void volume, deformation, abrasion, and elasticity modulus. Results show that ballas modified by scrap tire and bitumen has a smallest value of void volume by 35,21%. The smallest deformation value by 5 mm at the load of 483,4 kPa occured on ballas modified by bitumen. The smallest value of abrasion by 19,6 grams occured on ballast modified by bitumen and scrap tire rubber. Then, the stiffness that reviewed from higher elastic modulus value by 27,13 MPa.
