KONSEP PENDIDIKAN ANAK MENURUT JAMAL ABDURRAHMAN DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI DI INDONESIA
Abstract
This study aims to: 1) Know the concept of children education according to Jamal
Abdurrahman; 2) Analyzing the relevance of the concept of children education
according to Jamal Abdurrahman into Early Childhood Education in Indonesia.
This research is a type of library research, which is a study that the main object is
library materials, including; primary, secondary and supporting data sources. This
study used a qualitative approach, namely research that emphasizes the quality or the
most important thing of an item or service. The source of this study consists of
primary and secondary sources. The primary source used in the preparation of this
research is the work of Jamal Abdurrahman entitled Aṭfālu al-Muslimīn Kaifa
Rabbāhum an-Nabiyyu al-Amīn allalallahu 'Alaihi wa as-Salām to review the concept
of children education, Munir's Early Childhood Education in Islam, and a copy of
Permendikbud which contains the law on Early Childhood Education in Indonesia, it
is used to study the concept of Early Childhood Education in Indonesia. As for
secondary sources, the researcher used some literature related to children education,
such as; Education in the Islamic Perspective (Ilmu Pendidikan dalam Perspektif
Islam) by Ahmad Tafsir, Ibrahim Amini's work, entitled Agar Tak Salah Mendidik
Agar Tak Salah Mendidik, also; theses, essays, journals, papers, and so on.
The results of this study indicate that: 1) The concept is offered based on hadith from
the Prophet. Jamal Abdurrahman divided the phases of education based on the age of
the child, which is 0-3 years which includes the material of aqidah, akhlak, physicalmotoric,
and language and 4-6 years which includes morality, worship, physicalmotoric,
and language material; 2) Child education, after looking for its relevance,
researchers found that the concept of Jamal Abdurrahman was quite relevant to the
phase of children development, PAUD curriculum, and PAUD competencies that
included spiritual, knowledge, language, social, skills, socio-emotional aspect. So that
the concept can be applied in children education, both in the family, formal and nonformal
education.
