PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN KINERJA GURU TERHADAP PRESTASI SISWA DI SD UNGGULAN ‘AISYIYAH BANTUL
Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of principal leadership and teacher’s performance on students’ achievement in SD Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was carried out in SD (Elementary School) Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul which is located at Bantul Karang, Ringinharjo, Bantul. The population in this study were 77 students of class VI. Data collecting technique used population which takes the total population. The instrument used to measure the principal leadership and teacher’s performance was in the form of a questionnaire with 30 questions. The validity of the questionnaire was tested using the Pearson product moment correlation formula. Hypothesis test results show that partially the principal leadership (X1) has an effect on students’ achievement (Y) where tcount>ttable which is 2.297>1.666 and the results obtained for teacher performance (X2) is that it has a partial effect on student achievement (Y) where tcount>ttable which is 2.684>1.666. To test the hypotheses simultaneously, it can be seen that the principal leadership and the teacher’s performance together influence student achievement, where it is obtained Fcount>Ftable with 26.763>3.12. For the calculation results of the determination test (R2), the coefficient value is 64.0% and the remaining 36% is influenced by other factors. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect between the principal leadership and the teacher’s performance on the achievement of the students class VI in SD Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul Academic Year 2017/2018.
